1. Cutting tools
The blades are the most critical and vulnerable parts of a shredder, directly contacting the material and undertaking the shearing and crushing work. During operation, they repeatedly engage with various materials, especially harder ones, which accelerates blade wear. Long-term use may lead to dulling of the cutting edges and chipping. The wear rate of the blades is closely related to the hardness of the material and the throughput, requiring regular inspection, sharpening, or replacement to ensure the shredder's normal crushing efficiency.
2. Screen
The screen, installed at the shredder's discharge port, is used to screen materials to obtain the required particle size and is a high-frequency, easily damaged component. After crushing, the material continuously impacts and rubs against the screen, which over time can lead to wear, deformation, and even blockage or breakage of the screen holes. Once the screen is damaged, it will affect the uniformity of the output particle size, requiring timely replacement with a screen of the appropriate specifications to ensure normal equipment output.
3. Lining plate
Liners are installed on the inner wall of the shredder's crushing chamber, primarily to protect the chamber wall and reduce impact wear from materials. During operation, materials repeatedly impact and rub against the liners, especially when processing hard materials, causing rapid wear and potential surface wear and detachment. Damaged liners directly damage the crushing chamber, necessitating regular inspection and replacement to extend the overall service life of the equipment.
4. Seals
Seals are used in the various transmission components and connecting parts of a shredder to prevent dust and oil leaks. During equipment operation, the rotation of the transmission components wears down the seals, and material dust and debris also corrode them, leading to decreased sealing performance and problems such as oil leaks and dust ingress. Damaged seals will affect the equipment's transmission efficiency and must be replaced promptly to prevent further damage.
